In July, a joint NatCAN/NCIA conference was held in London on the theme of Gaining Power: Challenges for Activists. A report of the event is now up.

In the report, ‘A World To Win‘ gives a ‘Big Picture’ overview on the state of world politics and how local people can participate in wider issues. Four frontline community activists tell the stories of their battles with authority and points from the discussions are included.

One of the recurrent themes from the event was the role of media: mainstream, alternative and social media. We wonder whether our next joint event might be on this theme. Would you come and contribute? What other topics do we need to share experiences on?
