NCIA's Ruth Townsley marching on 26 March 2011Cuts, privatising public services, commissioning replacing grants, voluntary agencies being run like businesses, managers who don’t understand the front line work, nonsensical targets… If you’re feeling angry, you’re not alone! Join us at the next NCIA assembly in Manchester on Thursday 12 May 2011 to discuss issues affecting you. Book now.

NICA assembly
Thursday May 12th
1.30pm – 5pm (gather for tea and coffee at 1.30pm, meeting starts at 2pm)
St Thomas Centre, Ardwick Green North, Manchester M12 6FZ
Please return the booking form to Melaina or Rachael.

After feedback and discussion, we decided to try a more open format for the next assembly meeting, so we will have no speakers but will be finding out from attendees what their current concerns and activities are and will be exploring issues which arise through a combination of small facilitated working groups and whole group sessions. Please see the booking form, which suggests some ideas for discussion and provides space for you to add your  ideas about what you want to talk about.

We may be able to pay travel expenses from other parts of the country – just get in touch.

See the notes from our last assembly meeting too, so you can see the kinds of issues that come up.

Hope to see you on 12 May!
